3 coconut drinks to make this Christmas
December 06, 2021When it comes to the festive season, the lavish food and Christmas drinks you enjoy make up a big part of your celebrations. Here, we are looking at some coconut drink recipes that are perfect for the Christmas period - so branch out from your regular coconut water and indulge!
Blue Christmas Coconut Cocktail
❄️ One cup of pineapple juice
❄️ Half a cup of blue curacao or alcohol-free blue curaçao syrup
❄️ Half a cup of vodka
❄️ Half a cup of coconut cream
❄️ Seven cups of ice
❄️ Coconut flakes
To create this cocktail, begin by pouring a little coconut cream into a shallow bowl, and some coconut flakes into a separate shallow bowl. This will help to make your drinks look extra festive as you dip the rim of your glass into the coconut cream before dipping it into the coconut flakes. The snowy appearance is really magical, not to mention delicious!
Once you have done this, you can use a blender to mix your blue curaçao with the pineapple juice, vodka, and more coconut cream.
Don’t forget your ice!
You should blend this on the highest setting to make sure that the ice is crushed into a smooth and almost creamy consistency - good enough to drink! You can then pour the cocktail into your rimmed glasses and serve.
Coquito Coconut Cocktail
This Coquito Coconut Cocktail (created by Mediterranean Latin Love Affair) is fantastic if you have a little time to prepare. It takes ten minutes to whip up, but takes two hours to chill - alternatively, you can keep the cans refrigerated beforehand. So make ahead of time to serve four people. To make this cocktail, you will need:🎅 400ml unsweetened coconut milk
🎅 One can (397g) condensed milk
🎅 Half a cup of coconut rum
🎅 Half a teaspoon of cinnamon
🎅 Four decorative cinnamon sticks
🎅 Six cloves
🎅 A pinch of nutmeg
To begin, mix up the coconut and condensed milk with the rum, and either stir by hand or blend on a low speed until well combined. Once this is done, you can add your cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon before refrigerating.
When your festive feast is in full swing, serve the cocktail over ice and add your cinnamon sticks for serious festive flair.
